Listen, with just a few supplies, you can mix up
your own all-natural cleaner-EASY PEEZY. Do yourself a favor and make some today — you’ll feel so good knowing exactly what’s in your cleaner as you spray away the germs.
What you’ll need:
•distilled white vinegar •water •your favorite essential oil(s)
The multi-purpose, multi-surface cleaner is SO EASY:
•equal parts water and vinegar
(for example: 1c white vinegar, 1c water) •pour the vinegar, then water into the bottle. Use a small funnel if necessary. Why White Vinegar? White vinegar is a natural disinfectant. It contains 5% acetic acid, which has antimicrobial properties. It’s also great at cutting through grease and grime, so it’s perfect for cleaning kitchen surfaces like stovetops, tables, and counters.
Vinegar on it its own has a pretty potent smell, so we mix it with equal parts water to dilute it. This is a great cleaner for nearly every surface, with the exception of soft stones, like marble countertops.
(For marble, we recommend a gentler cleaner like Just dish soap and hot water.) Why Essential Oils? While you CAN use just the vinegar-water mixture to clean, I add in a few drops or more of my Jordan Essentials essential oils.
For this cleaner, I used lemon oil and peppermint essential oil, as they each have antibacterial and antiseptic properties. (Plus, they smell great!)
Pour in the essential oil: Slowly pour 5+ drops of the essential oils That you’ve chosen into the bottle.
Shake the bottle: (repeat this step before using anytime it‘s been sitting for longer than just a few minutes) Shake the bottle vigorously before using to allow all ingredients to distribute evenly throughout.
Spray when needed: Spray directly onto the surface or onto a kitchen towel and wipe area clean.
