I know that Jordan Essentials confidently stands behind all the products products we offer.  The foundation of Jordan Essentials is bringing American-made, naturally-based, non-toxic solutions for bath and body, skincare, cosmetics, and essential oils to entire families like MINE and YOURS.

You may often wonder, though? What do these "hot", "trendy" words ACTUALLY mean?  

We don’t use known harmful ingredients like aluminum, parabens, isopropyl alcohol, mineral oils, SLS/SLES, or gluten...all ingredients we consider “No No List” items due to EXTENSIVE clinical studies that have been done and the proven negative effects these ingredients have on the body. 

It gives me peace of mind in a way I didn't even know I wanted in my life, knowing the products I'm using on myself and my family are safe for our bodies.

Are our products 100% natural?  Well, actually no...and that’s a GOOD thing! Are you confused? I know, I know, but keep reading!

The process of making our products starts with natural ingredients like magnesium, lavender, charcoal, jojoba oil, beeswax, shea butter, and many others.  These natural ingredients offer a wide variety of health benefits, nourishing qualities, and soothing properties.

However, if our products were 100% natural, they would be susceptible to mold, bacteria, and harmful pathogens that attack 100% natural lotions and are obviously very toxic to the body. In some cases the afore mentioned mold, bacteria and pathogens could be even more toxic to our bodies than the toxic ingredients included in our "No No List". Yikes. 

So, to avoid issues on our products, Jordan Essentials may use the preservative system combination of Phenoxyethanol and Ethylhexylglycerin to safely protect them from mold and bacteria as well as balance the pH of the formulas.  To maximize effectiveness while preserving healthy standards, one or both of these ingredients is used in a less than 1% emulsion in our formulas.   

Mold and bacteria are one of the largest health concerns worldwide in food sources and topically applied products. Jordan Essentials products have safe, paraben-free, and non-toxic solutions to protect our families and allow the natural ingredients in our products to continue to be beneficial without refrigeration or cause for concern for such contamination. Get it? It's all coming together....clear as mud, right? Kidding! I hope it's making sense for you.

Also, so you know, some reports of Phenoxyethanol have demonized it as irritating or unsafe, however the cosmetic grade version used in JE products has been purified and is classified as safe and non-toxic.   Any incidence of allergic reaction or skin sensitivities would be rare and none have been reported to Jordan Essentials in nearly 20 years of business due to the preservatives used in our products.    Most often if/when a reaction is reported to one of our products, it is due to an allergy to a naturally occurring ingredient found in that product to which someone may have a particular sensitivity.

Now, I wouldn't call myself a skeptic BUT if you're like me- even a little- you may still have questions about our "No No List". I did too. I had to make an effort to educate myself on WHY these ingredients aren't in the products, right?!
