The Story of Jordan Essentials and the Lotion Bar:
Nancy Bogart, founder and CEO of Jordan Essentials, made the very first Lotion Bars in her kitchen after reading a book on how pioneer women made soaps and lotions. They used bars of lard to moisturize their hands. She remembered her grandmother had solid perfume bars too, that she and her sister would play with as they dressed up at grandma's house.
This was the beginning of what inspired her to invent the Lotion Bar. She wanted it to be a unique product that really worked! She and her mother hand poured Lotion Bars all night long to get ready for my first craft fair--which SOLD OUT! One week later they did it again and after just 3 events they had sold over $7000 and KNEW this was "something".
To this day, our Lotion Bars are still hand poured and we've sold around 5 million bars!
Nancy became incorporated on faith Feb 8, 2000 as BarnzB Inc doing business as Country Bunny Bath and Body. (Ben, Alex & Annya (she came along 3 years later), Ron, Nancy, Zak, Bogart... BARNZB)
